RRB TC Exam Syllabus

The Railway Recruitment Board has conducted the exam for Ticket Collector posts, the examination consists of 100 Objective type of questions from the following subjects.

General Awareness : In this type, the questions is coming from the following topics..,

  3. Budget and Five Year Plans
  4. Sports
  5. Books and Authors
  6. Awards and Honor
  7. Science – Inventions and Discoveries
  8. Abbreviations
  9. Important Days
  10. International and National Organizations

Arithmetic : In this type, questions will be given in the mathematical skills of the candidates and following is the topics from which the questions asked.

  1. Number System
  2. HCF, LCM
  3. Simplification
  4. Decimal Fractions
  5. Ratio and Proportions
  6. Unitary Methods
  7. Percentages
  8. Time and Distance
  9. Time and Work
  10. Profit and Lose
  11. Average
  12. Simple and Compound Interest
  13. Mensuration (2D and 3D)
  14. Algebra
  15. Data Interpretation

Technical Ability : In this type, the examiner will be test the knowledge of the candidates about the profession and some technical questions will be given.

Reasoning/ Aptitude/ Mental Ability :
In this type of questions asked to test of reasoning abilities and from Verbal and Non-Verbal aptitude test of the person.

A. Verbal :

  1. Number Series
  2. Alphabet Series
  3. Test to Direction Sense
  4. Coding-Decoding
  5. Number Ranking
  6. Arithmetical Reasoning
  7. Problem on Age Calculation

B. Non-Verbal :

General Intelligence : This part usually tries to test the General Intelligence of the Person.

The question paper coming with the total 100 number of objective type questions will be given by the above following subjects, within a time duration of 1:30 hours. If any changes in the upcoming notification, we will intimate you.

Railway Recruitment Board Secunderabad, has issued examination syllabus for Assistant Station Master, Goods Guard, ECRC, TA/CA, TC Posts. As per previous notification, we have provided the exam syllabus for RRB Assistant Station Master, Goods Guard & Other Posts.

The examination syllabus is completely in non-technical form. In the year 2015, the English language subject is eliminated from this exam syllabus. The examinations has conducted in two stages. Stage-I is written test and Stage-II is Psycho test. Stage-I qualified candidates are eligible for the 2nd Stage of examination. RRB Secunderabad ALP Technician Exam Syllabus, Paper Pattern

RRB Secunderabad ALP Technician Exam Syllabus 2017, RRB Secunderabad Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician Grade.III Exam Syllabus 2017, Paper pattern.

The Government of India, Railway Recruitment Board, was released the Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician Gr. III Notification in the year 2014. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Secunderabad has conducted the exam for the posts of (1) Assistant Loco Pilot and (2) Technician in the year 2015. As per previous notification we have provided the exam pattern is given below :

The question paper pattern is of objective type and would contain 100-120 questions and 1/3 marks would be deducted for the wrong answers. Un-attempted questions will not carry any negative marking. The RRB Secunderabad exam question paper will be provided in English, Hindi and other regional languages.

RRB Secunderabad ALP and Technician Syllabus

Merit list is taken from the over all marks obtained, covering all the subjects. Qualifying in each subject is not essential. The exam paper will contain questions from 6 different topics, which are as follows :

  • Arithmetic’s
  • Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Stock General Knowledge
  • Current Affairs
  • Technical Subjects

Arithmetic:
Arithmetic/ mathematics is one of the very important subjects in the exam. The subject would contain approximately 20-25 questions.

Reasoning:
The purpose of this topic is to test one’s reasonable thinking ability skills. This subject would contain 10-15 questions, approx.

General Awareness:
In General Awareness, questions will come from the subjects of History, Politics, Geography and General Sciences. 10-15 questions can be expected from this topic.

General Knowledge:
In General Knowledge questions will be asked from the topics of National and International Sports, Rivers, Oceans, National Highway Roads, Climates/ Weather, Book Authors, Awardees, etc. 10-15 questions can be expected from this topic.

Current affairs:
Current affairs would carry questions on the day to day events/ activities around us. Affairs/ events dated to 3 months prior to the exam would carry much importance in the exam. So, it is important to have awareness on the current affairs prior to 3 months of the exam date. It is also important to take notes on major events from the reputed news paper on daily basis. One can also prepare from any of the well known monthly magazines. 5-10 questions can be expected from this topic.

Technical Subjects:
Here, questions will be from the subjects of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Design, Production Technology, I.C. Engines, Thermodynamics, etc. Approximately, 40-50 questions can be expected from this subject. As, majority of the questions come from this topic, more efforts and focus should be given on this topic.
